Dawn Torres-Gale is a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Accredited Financial Counselor®, and a Certified Financial Planner Candidate®. She works for Compass Financial Planning Associates as a client services manager.

Dawn was a military spouse fellow in the FINRA Foundation’s Military Spouse Fellowship where she earned her AFC® certification in 2012. In 2018 she received a military spouse scholarship to the CFP® and ChFC® education program at the American College of Financial Services in Pennsylvania. She passed the national CFP® exam in 2022. Before joining Compass Planning, Dawn was a remote paraplanner at an registered investment advisory in Massachusetts as well as a remote associate financial planner in Seattle. She spent 10 years as a personal financial counselor with military reserve and guard units. In 2018 she spent three months providing financial education and counseling services to soldiers stationed at US Army Garrison Wiesbaden in Germany.

Dawn completed her financial planning education at the American College of Financial Planning in Pennsylvania. She holds a BA in political science from San Francisco State University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Dawn has volunteered as a district court mediator in Honolulu, Hawaii and as an elected member of the Wachusett Regional School Committee representing the town of Holden, Massachusetts. Dawn lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, LCDR Christopher A. Gale, USCG (Ret.). She has three daughters and two grandchildren
